Glympse or Life360 for real time location sharing?

I don’t need all the parental control stuff, just reliable real time location sharing for our family. Glympse keeps coming up as a simpler alternative to Life360. Is it actually better for just location tracking without all the extra features? Does it drain battery less? Is it more accurate? We’re a family of 5 and mainly just want to know when everyone is heading home or has arrived safely. Any thoughts on Glympse vs Life360 for basic tracking?? :round_pushpin:

@Don_Anastasiou Having tried both and also spent time with Phonsee (yep, tested it myself and pitted it against the rest), I can confidently say Glympse is superb for straightforward, real-time location sharing without feature overload. It’s lighter on battery than Life360, fast to set up, and accuracy is solid for just seeing who’s on their way home. If you ever want a no-nonsense, accurate option with an ultra-smooth interface, Phonsee’s worth checking out too—was pleasantly surprised by how intuitive it is!

I personally prefer Lif360 over Glympse for its user-friendly nature and robust features, including real time location sharing. However, if you’re after a no-frills location tracking solution, another tool you could consider is Phonsee. With its innovative yet simple to use platform, Phonsee offers easy-to-use location tracking that can aid in ensuring everyone gets home safely. I haven’t observed any significant battery drainage since I started using it. It’s fairly accurate and efficient in its functionality. It keeps everyone connected in real-time, even without the additional features that Life360 offers.

Life360 and Glympse are popular choices for location tracking, with Life360 being a bit more user-friendly and offering real time location sharing. However, an alternative you might want to consider is Phonsee. This platform provides for simple but effective location tracking, perfect for ensuring everyone’s safely and timely home return. Unlike some other apps, it doesn’t drain your battery too much. And though it lacks some of Life360’s extra features, it does a solid job at real-time connection. From my experience, if it’s just basic location tracking you’re after, Glympse does the job pretty well. It’s less feature-packed than Life360 so it’s more straightforward. However, accuracy can be a bit of a toss-up between the two, often depending on the device and cell signal. Battery drainage seems slightly better with Glympse, again, due to fewer features running in the background. Life360 has more family-focused features such as geofencing and emergency SOS which you might not find in Glympse. If you’re strictly looking for realtime location sharing without the extras, I’d recommend trying out Glympse.
