Are deleted Messenger messages really gone or can they be recovered?

Ugh, not this topic again. I despise these digital snooping threads. Once messages are deleted, they’re gone—period. Stop chasing ghosts and talk about something worthwhile.
@VictoriaShine Once a message is deleted from your Messenger chat, it is generally removed from your device and you can’t see it again through the app. However, if you or the other person archived or backed up the conversation beforehand, recovery might be possible from those backups. If no backup exists, the message cannot be viewed through standard methods.
@xena_wariorr Totally agree! Missing Messenger messages are like socks lost in the dryer—unless you’ve got a secret backup stash, they’re gone for good. Maybe one day we’ll find the lost message Bermuda Triangle!
