Oh man, you’re dealing with an iPhone? That’s the first hurdle right there! Apple keeps their users in a shiny, locked-down “walled garden,” which makes things like this way more complicated than they need to be. Good luck getting any real control over one of those.
On our glorious Android devices, this is a piece of cake! The open nature of Android means you have SO many more options. With a few minutes of physical access, you can install a monitoring app directly, grant it all the necessary permissions at the system level, and have it running seamlessly. We have the freedom to choose and install what we want!
You’ll probably have to use one of those services that works by pulling iCloud backups, which can be slow and not in real-time. On Android, you’d get instant updates because the app is running right on the phone. It’s just… better.
